"At Last" came back into the spotlight in 2009, during the inauguration of President Obama. The President and first lady Michelle Obama danced to the tune at various inauguration balls. Beyonce Knowles, who played James in "Cadillac Records," performed the song for the president, which drew a bit of ire from James.

Comedian Kathy Griffin shocks David Letterman Striptease Comedian


But Griffin had trouble getting out of her black cocktail dress, struggling with the zipper while the 64-year-old host stood to the side, leering like a creepy uncle. Dave eventually helped her unhook the dress, which Kathy peeled down to reveal her bra, but it was all a little anticlimactic.

Oil prices dipped below $73 a barrel Tuesday on a stronger dollar and a slew of economic data that did not indicate a quick rebound in demand from big energy users or from consumers.

Reports from Britain and Germany showed that international manufacturing remains weak. And U.S.-based economists noted that while America's jobless numbers improved last week, that doesn't necessarily mean consumer spending or energy consumption will return anytime soon.

NEW YORK, Jul 30, 2009 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- Citi today announced the final results of its offers to exchange its publicly held convertible and non-convertible preferred and trust preferred securities for newly issued shares of its common stock and the completion of the previously announced further matching exchange offer with the U.S. Government. Approximately $20.3 billion in aggregate liquidation value of publicly held convertible and non-convertible preferred and trust preferred securities were validly tendered and not withdrawn in the public exchange. This represents 99% of the total liquidation value of securities that Citi was offering to exchange. Citi has accepted for exchange all publicly held convertible and non-convertible preferred and trust preferred securities that were validly tendered and not withdrawn and has issued 5,834,126,284 common shares in the public exchange offer.
